The pandemic has certainly interrupted work flow. And having a lot of free time can often cause one to feel a bit lazy. When working from home, it can sometimes be hard to know when work begins and ends. Sometimes it feels like I’m in a constant work flow, and sometimes it feels like I’m never working. I think this is a universal problem that comes with working from home. Finding a task that’s a good use of time and interests you is helpful in a time of isolation. For example, I’ve been coding a web scraper in my free time that searches through and tallies news headlines. This project has been a good way to improve my coding skills and stay productive. Doing more than what you’ve originally intended in a day is also one of the best ways to stay productive. Exceeding your original work plan can make the day not feel like it was wasted away. These times are certainly one of the strangest, and adapting to them is a slow learning process.
